Fine for you Americans.
Anyone in U.K should read this.
Went to the website, read the bumph, went to order....
SKU DB4 = $15.00
Very reasonable bearing in mind the cost of conventional balancing.
But.
Shipping.
$15.95
Cost now more than double.
I have a problem with paying more for postage than the cost of the item.
No choice,we're just going to have to unhitch England and
tow it westward a couple of thousand miles :woohoo:
Bugger!

I used then in my 34" Super Swampers on my Wrangler, was assured they'd work perfect so i bought them.

They didnt work worth a crap!!! They actually caused me more issues (couldn't drive over 35mph after i put them in) & more money (had to pay to get the tires removed, beads cleaned out, then remounted and balanced properly)

I was then told by them that if the tires are "too far" out of balance they dont work.

Supposedly they work for many people, however i was NOT one of them...

I highly recommend Dyna Beads if you are using discarded water bottles for rolling stock on your motorcycle. If however, you choose tires, then you might need some lead weights to cancel out vibrations.

In seriousness, I believe that this test in the video works because the 1oz of beads are heavy relative to the weight of the bottle. How much does your tire and wheel weigh? Are you going to put 20lbs of beads in there to balance your tire? Doesn't leave much room for air.

This little video is merely anecdotal evidence that is not a real approximation of a tire and wheel from a motorcycle. Might as well try this test with the skittles. I bet you get the same result.

Good Day Americans! :)

Now I'm totally confused.

From my perspective we have a number of members here whose knowledge and experience are I think it's fair to say beyond doubt.
Now I don't want to be the reason anyones head explodes so please go with me on this.
First we have the mighty Steel.
I've read quite a few of his posts over the years I've been a member here and I have respect for his opinions.
Secondly we have the awesome Testarossa. :cheer:
His build post was a source of much interest to me, and his contribution to the discussions on this site are nothing short of admirable.

Third we have the Ron.
The photo's of his machines leave little more to say.

Now I haven't omitted the rest of the contributors to this thread for any questionable reason, because this verbal ramble in the woods would get out of hand and likely contribute to Global Warming if I go on too long.

OK OK I'll get to the point!

Now here's the rub.

We have opposing opinions on the effectiveness of these beads.

So do the things work or not?

HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY GOT THE DAMM THINGS IN THEIR TYRES????????????

Rant over,I'm off for a smoke. :silly:
