Not so. Lighter or heavier weight fork oil can be used to adjust both rebound and compression. (see pages from manual above where oil flow is explained). Ed

I have Progressive's and 10W in my Suzuki DR650 and it likewise rides much better than stock, but I think 10W is the OE weight for that bike. Heck, just changing the fork oil after the old stuff has been in there for a decade or more makes a big diff! :)

Isn't that what i just wrote by changing fork oil wt and how much oil is in fork tube it will effect the ride. everybody s a critic, open the part of your brain that can reason with a problem not justify your cause!
