No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationZ1 are great, i've had stuff from them before & cant say a bad word, unfortunately import taxes & shipping will kill them for me. I'll try to remove the caps (re other thread) on the shocks i have until i can get some replacements that i want, i'm trying to stick to a budget for my build & other things come before the shocks, they're not going to hinder the build.
THESE guys do some good midrange stuff here in the UK so when money allows i'll grab a set of them. Incidentally the measurements of their shocks are 325mm (12.8 inches)

There are these other ones on ebay (just an example shown) & they're cheap but i have no idea of build quality, the seller has great feedback though.

1 other thing that must be considered when adapting shock from another bike.
the Geometry.
if u take the same bike and shocks, then place the shock more forward at the top. the leverage applied to the shock will be more. so the spring will now feel soft. its the same shock and same bike.
now move the bottom mount backwards. now the shock will feel stiffer.
just a heads up, to look carefully at the donor bikes shock locations, before committing, that they are the same weight, so they must work the same.

Hope this helps.

Strange - The more i look into this i see the length being listed as 335mm (13.2 inch). Would 350mm length shocks be bad to fit?

15mm.'s is not a big deal . its all the rest that matters. if it was the perfect shock and u added 15mm. (about5/8") u would sit high in the back, thus decreasing the rake about 1/2 a degree, thus make it steer a little quicker, but it wouldnt likely be noticable.
then if u gained 15lbs, it would go down in the rear, and be perfect. lol

Well thats true! I know there was a noticable difference when i changed from a 9.0 to a 10.0 spring on my race bike, thing is with all the adjustment on the shock on it you could get it pretty much whatever way you wanted it. In the KZ750 application i havent got that luxury.

Weird thing is that i measured the shocks on my bike & they come in at 320mm, this isn't making sense!

just thinking out loud here but maybe i should wait to i complete my build incase i do actually need a longer or shorter shock, im hopefully putting on a 450 section rear tyre which will obviously increase height & decrease clearance.

yes if u change the rear wheel u may want a dif shock length to maintain ride height.
