What kind of master cylinder did you use on these bars ?

Mine has a stock 1977 KZ650-C1 master cylinder. Assuming your bike has dual front disk brakes I would think any of the KZ650-C model master cylinders should work (the KZ650-B models won’t work well – they are for single disk front ends). The later KZ650 MC’s (beginning in 1978) had a trapezoid shaped reservoir instead of round that is a little flatter than the round ones. Ed
