What is the front Axle nut size on a kz750r1?

My project of the week was going to be restoring my front wheel. Unfortunately, I lacked any wrenches large enough to remove the axle nuts for the front. Really unfortunately, I tried using an adjustable wrench and a vise grip, which didn't work. What size are these blasted front axle nuts? 26mm?

Vise-grips??! Did you loosen the axle holders before attacking the nuts?

BTW, if you plan to work on your bike you really should use proper tools or you may end up creating a dangerous situation. The good news is, your toolkit will not need the following :laugh: :
