just found out that my fork springs are the wrong ones.
is it a complicated job to upgrade the springs to progressive ones and seals please?

does the kz750 ltd h2 1981 have fork gators as standard.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo gators. The springs and seals can be replaced by one who has medium mechanical ability and appropriate tools. IMO the 2 most important tools you will need are the Kawasaki Service Manual and a quality torque wrench to make sure you do the job correctly. You really don't want anything going wrong with the front fork or wheel when you're tooling down the road at 70 mph. Here's one of the manuals that covers the KZ750-H2 model, there are others on eBay as well. Be sure to get one that covers your exact year and model. You will find yourself using the manual for a million things; they are really important to have. Ed

May wrap a cloth around the open fork drain holes to minimize oil spray while initially pumping the forks to remove the old oil.

Better to attempt removing the allen head bolt before removing the fork caps (so as to maintain spring pressure), and the bolt might come loose without needing to use the special tool.

Be sure to loosen the top fork clamp before attempting to remove the cap.
