Exhaust fitment to Engine/Chassis was created by Breaker19
I guess this is sorta a chassis question.. anyway, on my '82 KZ1100, can anyone chime in on whether or not there are supposed to be some sort of rubber dampeners used with the two long bolts that hold the stock exhaust to the bottom of the engine? I've looked at the parts fiche on Kawasaki.com and don't see any, but the manual I have shows something like that. And, I have the stock bolts and they have cup washers, which would indicate something like that used. I'm getting some vibration that I think is exhaust related and every other exhaust I've ever seen has something like this to dampen it. Figured y'all out there with this model may be able to tell me for sure. Thanks.

There are rubber washers that go there. One rubber washer on each side of the exhaust mount and dowel that goes in the middle. I think you could improvise a little with stuff laying around. They are kind of like the rubber washers on the ends of the front motor mounts.

Hmmmm... ok, thanks. I'll look into that, I was thinking of making something out of stainless washers with some rubber sandwiched between.
