Chem-dip and front brake calipers was created by DiamondSkyBlue1000
Anybody use Berryman's Chem-dip carb cleaner to clean their calipers inside and out? I have a set of calipers from a 78 LTD that I want to clean up and strip the old paint off of and I was thinking of just dipping them. Any saged advice?

Hmmm.. Never thought to try that. Seems like it would work, but make sure that you remove any rubber or plastic parts that you plan on keeping. Also, make sure that you get all of that stuff cleaned out of all passages. You don't want to contaminate your break fluid. That could be disastrous.

That does look good! I guess I was just concerned with changing the highly polished finished inside the area where the piston goes.
Thanks for the info!
