Will an LTD seat fit on a '81 kz1000 CSR?

I want to run an LTD seat and tail section on my CSR but I don't know if it'll all fit together. Has anyone done this at all?

What year seat and tail section are you wanting to use? If it is from a 1980 or older, I'm fairly sure it won't as the frame isn't the same...I don't think. Seems a while back someone wanted to do this and the frame was different where the body pieces bolt on.

Could check with kawasaki.com as to parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

I know the csr seat will not fit the KZ on the 650's. The pans are totally different because of the frame difference as mentioned earlier. Not sure about the 900/1000's

I know this because I bought the wrong seat on ebay.

Anybody interested in a CSR 650 seat in excellent condition?

So as said here I can run an 81 and 82 seat. But im going to have to probably fab something up for the actual tail to bolt on to. That sounds great. I guess I need to start looking for an ltd seat and tail. Thanks everyone for the great info.
