Too Long of Chain!

As you can see by the pics. I am now going to have to remove some links. This is why I ordered it so I wouldn't have to remove links!
The last picture is with the wheel pulled all the way back and it is still loose.

Endless loop o-ring chains came standard on many, if not all, model KZ's (for sure on KZ650's). To replace the chain with another endless loop chain you must remove the swingarm so you can get the chain around the countersprocket. This is probably the reason not many folks replace the original chain with another endless loop. Ed

Anyhow I thought when you ordered these 530 chains/sprocket sets from Z1 that they were to send a chain that would be ready to go! :dry:

then fold the chain over right where it meets the end and then make sure everything is good and grind the ends off and use a punch to separate the link,and a chisel may be needed to get the plate off.
then put your masterlink on.
you may need to use a c-clamp or vise grips to squeeze the link back together and put the circlip back on.
a wrap of safety wire helps to makes sure the clip can't come off.
