Lost my right side cover @70MPH was created by andler2008
I've heard that you can lose it at high rate of speed around 100. But I didn't even hit 75 when I looked down just in time to see it fly off behind me. Circled back and it's in about 5 pieces at least.

Has anyone ever figured out a way to keep the wind from throwing those off? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There have been a few ways to do that. One is to drill a hole through a tab on each side cover and run a small wire to connect them to each other with a clip on either side so you can remove it. Another is to drill a hole in one or more tabs on each cover and use a cotter pin or some type of clip through each tab hole to hold them in the grommets. You can bolt on side covers also. This has been discussed on here before so maybe a search will find the topic or someone who knows where to find it can chime in.

You also should get new grommets; they hold the covers tight. Just curious, are you using pods or the stock airbox? Ed

+1 I run pods and have had my bike above triple digits with no problems after replacing my old grommets. They may seem kind of expensive for what they are, but try replacing your OEM side cover and they seem cheap by comparison.
