frame leveling for swingarm installation

Hi guys, 57 yr old, former 1973 Kawasaki 900 z1 owner. Building a streetfighter Z1(bull docks/sanctuary, sort of). Front forks are installed, almost. Trying to determine frame level/hieght in relation to swingarm shock mount height. I'm using a 2008 gsxr 750 swingarm and shock. I was surprised at how well it fit. I've seen any where from bottom frame tube perfectly level too quite a pronounced low front end. There again bull docks / seem to have the angle about right but I don't have any numbers to dial it in. Anybody out there that could help? Thanks!

I used an angle gauge and raised the rear untill my steering head angle was 24.5*

Its a slight bit higher at the rear of the frame than the front of the frame.

i would focus on copying the geometry on the rear end of the donor bike. that way the shock will work properly. Then u get, what u get for stance . now if u want to change the stance u can raise the front.
Remembering that u r loosing ride height with the 17” wheels, i feel that its good to start with a high rear end, and go from there.

I did a cantilever setup on the rear and built my own swingarm so I didnt need to worry about linkages and dogbone lengths etc.

A custom set of triple clamps with some drop in them will help cure the nose down attitude.

Thanks for the info. Is there some significance to the 24.5 degree angle? Wondering if that's stock or something better?

not really. but it does show u that less rake is acceptable on the old bikes. it was normal for racers to add rake, but that was so they could go around tracks at very high speeds. my rake is about 24* and i have no trouble at 125mph, track or road.
