Hello, and WELCOME to KZr!

The first fork can be hard, but the learning curve is steep... after doing one, the 2nd is easy.
What's hard is figuring out how to get 'em apart & stuff is usually stuck.

I did mine on an 82.. The first one took 3 hrs. The second tool about 20 mins:)

Mt biggest headache was the ring that held the plate in the tubes ..

I could not get enough spring force off the plate to get the ring out.. Soon ended up using two arm pullers

Long story short, I replaced the little rings with snap rings so I can use snap ring pliers on the future.

Didn't someone mention a tool or something in your fork topic?
I kinda remember that he mentioned a handy tip to make the job easier.

Yep. Two arm puller.

Worked like a charm. I'd recommend this for Any that don't have a screw off type fork..
