what kind of rim can i fit on 77kz900

I have what looks like a 96-03 zx7 rear mag rim would i be able to use a 96-03 front mag and stock kz front end?

The stock Kz front end isn't wide enough for the newer rim. With that being said, the police front end will take the wider sportbike rim, as the fork legs are further apart. I used a police front end with a ZX11 front wheel and brakes on my '78 1000.

P.S. I'm thinking of selling the police forks and triple trees sometime in the near future....

is the police front end a direct bolt up? what year police and zx11 front end would I need? how much would you sell yours for shipped to 46052?

The police front end is a direct bolt on. You will have to get another fender since the police front end is wider. The police front end I have is a Kz1000C which I believe was made between '78-'81. I used a '91 ZX11C front rim with a simple bearing swap. I did have to modify the fork legs slightly and use a small bracket to relocate the bottom of the ZX11 brake calipers due to the larger ZX rotors.

I'm not sure how much to sell the forks and triple clamps for. I'll do some research and get back to you in the next couple days.

Be aware the 90-93 ZX11C uses a 20mm front axle while the 93-01 ZX11D uses a 25mm front axle.

Something to keep in mind if you're looking to duplicate the same setup.

98-99 ZX9R also uses a 20mm axle front and rear, and it's lighter and better looking than the ZX11 wheels.

I did some searching around to find out what kind of rear rim I have. It looks like a 2001-05 suzuki gsxf 600 katana with 43t. I think I might try go with a different tooth sproket cause the motor winds out pretty fast, It seems like I should have another gear. any how, does anybody know if I could use the same year front rim to match the back?

I heard you can bolt a 90's katana front rim up on a kz900 anybody ever done this?
