so i have a 1978 kz650 and i need a new chain. did my bike come stock with a 530? when i look on Z1's website thats all they list is a 530 just in different lengths. thanks

I think it was 530. My 1979 KZ750 was a 530 chain.

Yup go with the 530,
You can also just measure the distance from pin to pin, if it's 3/4" (6/8") then you have the 630 chain, if you get a distance of 5/8" then its a 530 chain. If your not sure what size the chain you have right is.

Also, in case the chain your ordered needs to be riveted, just go to your local dealer and get a new master link for your size chain that comes with a clip. It will save you the time and headache of finding and using a rivet tool. They should be in stock and around $4.
