I've got a 1980 kz1000 ltd. It has a 15-33tooth front and rear sprocket with a stock 630 o-ring chain. i'm kinda curious as i am thinking about puting a 530 chain with 16-41 sprocket set up. is this gonna make any difference in the rpm's? im takin a trip with a buddy down to deals gap in north carolina next month and i would like the ol kz to be a little more highway friendly on the top end. any suggestions or advice to make this happen? thanks to all those who can do me a solid!

33/15= 2.2:1
41/16= 2.56:1
You'll have lower gearing with the 16/41 combo. A 18/40 combo would put you back to 2.22:1.

I could be wrong, but I think if you make that change your RPM will be about 14% higher at any given speed. Ed
