I highly recommend Bel-Ray 15w fork oil. Regarding the amount - you need to check (or have someone else check) the manual for your specific year and model (there are differences) to see what the proper fluid level should be. You don't simply pour in a given amount of oil. Instead, you use a rod or dowel to measure down from the top of the fork tube to the top of the oil level a specific distance for your particular model bike. Also, only drain 1 fork leg at a time or the forks will collapse down low on you. Ed

You will not believe the amount of crud there will be in the fork legs. I would recommend that you remove them and clean them. Pump them like a shotgun to completly remove the old oil. Also pump them when you fill them to get the oil in all the system.
