I see a lot of conflicting information on this.
The guy who just did my carbs, who has a ton of experience with old Kaws, says it isn't, but I saw somewhere awhile back where someone (mark Wing, I think), put a 550 Zephyr swingarm on his bike, with a Police rear wheel and a 150 tire.
My Z1R front wheel has the width cast into it, but not my rear one. It says "Enkei" "R-1042", and "J 18xMT215".
Does anyone know for sure?

Is that what your Z1R front says or the rear police rim?

Sorry, I guess i should have clarified.
My bike is a '79 KZ650B3. What I posted is what is cast on the rear wheel.
I also have an 18" Z1R front wheel I picked up to put on the bike at a later date.
I just went out and looked at them again. Some things are clearer, some are more confusing.
On the KZ650 rear Enkei wheel, it says: "J 18xMT2.15 DOT"
On the Z1R front Enkei wheel, it says "T 18x2.15TL DOT"
So, it appears to me that they are both 2.15" wide, and the "DOT" would appear to be "Department of Transportation."
On the Z1R wheel, I would think the "TL" i the "18x2.15TL" would stand for "Tubeless", but the wheel doesn't have the additional ridges, like in the pic.
On the KZ650 wheel, I'd think the "MT" in the "J 18xMT2.15" would mean "Motorcycle Tire", but that doesn't say anything about whether it is tubeless, or not.
