lowering and wide tire kit for 81 kz was created by Road Captain
I have a 81 kz750 and need some advise on lowering and wide tire options. Any info on how to lower it would help and links for lowering kits. I have been looking but can't find much info.

schnitz racing has lowering blocks for forks

The rear is a little trickier you need decide what a wide tire means to you some it's a 130 others 200 plus. and with that comes its own indiviual challenges chain inside the frame outside the frame bearing supports caliper mounting offset sprockets wheels shocks struts???

wish i could be more help but rear tire width can be as simple as putting the lagest tire your swingarm and chain clearance will stand to having someone build you a swingarm getting a wheel and figuring out what its gonna take to make it work

I was exactly where you are 8 months ago i bought 3 swingarms before I said just go with it and now have a 190 monoshock setup

have Les build you a swingarm his work is phenomanal

I bought a zx swingarm and had Leon do his magic with it (but I went Mono)

either one of these guys can hook you up

just keep in mind its not a couple hundred dollar deal swingarm changes rear brake changes front sprocket changes chain width may change rear wheel changes rear shock chenges

add all that change up at aprox 100.00 each
if you shop well.

The zx swingarm may be the ticket but I am not sure of the width differences on the 750 and you have to add shockmounts and havent seen one with the rear brake worked out yet. (Les or banshee (Leon) would be more help on that)

hope this helps
