77 KZ1000 LTD swap to KZ1000A spoke wheels?

I have a 77 KZ1000LTD with the retarted 19/16 wheels. I want to swap in some KZ1000A style spoke wheels? What do i have to do? is it as easy as just finding the wheels and throwin them on? What parts should i save from my old wheel/hub/brakes, what kind of modifying and fabing am i going to have to do?

I changed a 80 LTD over to spoke wheels. All fit like factory. Only thing you might have to do is the brake calipers. They have different offsets to clear the spokes of the wheel. Spoke and mags have a little different profile so you will just have to mount the wheels on and see how the calipers work. Might fit ok and you might have to find some calipers off a spoke model. Can't remember which I ended up with beings I did this about 25 yrs ago but it wasn't that big a deal. Spacers worked the same. Might have to use different discs also...not sure. Best thing to do is mount up the spoke wheel and see how everything fits. If what you have doesn't work then you will have to find brake caliper and/or disc off a spoke wheel bike.
