Dual disc master cylinder

1978 KZ1000-A2 introduced trapezoid reservoir with single disc, and was the only year for this smaller bore trapezoid master cylinder (piston assembly part no. 43020-1002).
Trapezoid was continued in later years with larger bore m/c for the dual discs.
Master cylinder bore size is often marked on the underside as 14mm or 5/8"
Good Fortune!

yes any will work, but the later models have dual outlets.

Mercury Kid wrote: If you don't mind me asking, where are you getting the calipers from? I'd very much like to get a set, if I could afford them. I've only ever seen them on customs from the motherland though. All I know of over here are the Grimeca copies that have smaller pistons, and supposedly aren't as good.
I believe there's one US distributor for AP Racing motorcycle calipers, GP Tech, LLC: www.gptechllc.com/ . However there are a few friendly KZRs on the otherside of the pond who've volunteered to ship some things over. I think it was something like $100 cheaper to do it that way than buy it through GP Tech.

Haha if you don't have money to burn, you can put together the same things for half of what PMC is asking. Those are PMC kits, Z1E can get them, but as you can see, they are NOT cheap.
