I have been researching this swap in my 82 csr 1000 fork swap. I have seen a few and i dont want to swap unless i can find out how to put some inverted forks on. i have been on the allballs site and have been comparing to some forks i would like to use and i just cant find a match. ex... cant us zx 1200 forks cause they dont sell the bearings and all the gxr forks i cant find the bearings. i have been trying to figure this out for solong and it driveing me crazy cause i have the money to get it done and have the time cause i just got laid off. any help would b so greatly appreciated thanks

Just swap your steering stem into the gsxr lower tree

No offense intended, but if mine I would deal with the lack of air filtration, seat, and exhaust system before swapping a front end that looks like it's ok. Just saying...

I'd go with the stem swap if you have the means. What forks you use are up to your preferences be them length, design, or appearance.
Just my 2cents.

I just not understanding if I gotta have the stem machined first to fit the bearings. Cause I really want a set of newer forks. Newer gsxr or so. Just couldn't find the bearings on allballs for a swap like that but have seen a bunch and love the look.

What they are saying is that you will take the stem on you existing forks and install it on the new triple tree of the new forks. This allows you to use stock bearings because the stem and seats are the same. I would replace the bearings with brand new tapered bearings from All Balls. Keep in mind that the handling of the bike is affected by the length of the forks so do your research. I have an article somewhere I will try to post for you that explains it in detail.
Hope this helps.
P.S. I have not done the swap just lots of research.

I'm not sure they would "know" but they should be able to figure it out. Hit Leon up, aka, 531blackbanshee, ? spelling, he's done quite a few for folks on here.

From what I have seen, a reducer ring is made to go in the new triple tree so that the stock stem will fit.
