Changing speedo from MPH to KMH

this may be a silly question but to change my speedo over to KMH is it as simple as just fitting something like these?
or does some work need doing on the internals?

I don’t think that will work for you. Take a close look at the 2 dials. If your speedo is currently a MPH model when you are moving 80 mph the needle is pointing strait up in the 12 o’clock position. The kph dial shows 120 kph at the 12 o’clock position, so at the exact same 80 mph speed you speedo would read 120 kph. Not good – because 80 mph actually = 128.74 kph so the speedo would not be accurate. Ed

Japanese motorcycle speedometers are notoriously optimistic.
Needle pointing straight up at 80 is probably an honest 75 (or less).

75 mph = 120.7 kph

Under this theory, needle pointing straight up at 120 kph may reflect a more accurate road speed.

There's a thread around here somewhere about creating all sorts of diy speedo and tach faces.

On closer inspection of those dials your right Ed...

I just had a quick look the 60 mph and figured that would be very close to our 100 kph.
