Aftermarket Shocks??? was created by Powerstroke_fan
I am looking to run some aftermarket shocks on the rear of the bike. I have a 2-4 over swingarm. Its a extended stock swingarm. I am currently running strut bars. I have sets of stock shocks but since i extended the swingarm the tire will rub the bottom of fender on every bump, even with it set on its high notch. So i looking to get a another set and had a few questions, First off how will determine my length of shock needed? Amount of travel? Can i use any shocks that run the eyelet style ends? I used to be into quads when i was younger and i remember seeing some really nice aftmarket shocks avaible for them. Just wondering what i can use and cant. Thanks, Eric

if the lower mounts are still the same distance from your swingarm pivot bolt, you will just need heavier springs.if the mounts have been moved back from stock you will need longer shocks and heavier springs.
the springs and the valving inside are going to dictate what will and won't work for you.
if they have the same mounting ends and came from something close to the same weight you may get lucky.
