What is my Bike? was created by lttletodd
The story starts that I picked up a motorcycle from my uncle for free. Its missing parts but I plan on getting her going. In order to start I need to know what year and model I have. Im sure its a Kz 1000 but I want to make sure. The Chassis # is KZT00A-501823 and the numbers on the motor are KZT00DE008081. Can somebody help me? lol

lol thats the thing it doesnt have the cylinder blocks, head, or carbs. only the lower end and tranny. then the rest of they bike just need to be put back together. I have a plan of putting a big bore kit in it and jet it out with the head ported and polished. this bike once was a drag bike but she wont be as tuned up as she was

ok, how long stitting without parts? you should take cases apart. Something might have found itself to the bottom of cases. Big block kit might need to bore cases anyway. If you go big dont forget to back cut tranny.

Welcome littletodd,
What you are planning on doing isn't going to be cheap.
How much of the work are you going to do your self ?
How about some pics.

the D in the engine number does show it is a Z1R (KZ1000D) engine. These came painted black from the factory. THe normal A engines were just bare aluminum.
