is it safe with a missing chain tensioner plate? was created by 82KZ305Belt
One of my chain tensionr plates must have fallen off when I tightened my chain a few weeks ago. I must not have tightened the jam nut enough. I have a new one on order, but can I do short rides in the meantime? My axle is tight. :silly: Should I try to fabricate a temporary one by bending a washer or something like that, or just not worry? I'm talking about part 12 in the diagram

It would have to be a really thick washer, maybe find a short piece of 1/4" thick steel strap and drill a hole in it for a temp piece

Thats slightly tempting, but I've about had it with 305 problems and think I'm about ready to graduate to 440 problems. If I can find one to have problems with.
