Best sprocket combo for Interstate / Mountain was created by KJ
I M new to the KZ1000 I have a 77 stock motor I need to replace chain and sprockets on my bike I want do do it right the first. I live in the foothills of NC I will be riding the interstate, Blue Ridge Parkway Mountain riding and what wold be a good sprocket combo I know 15/33 is stock what would experience tell me..

May get some varying opinions and preferences about this, but would suggest staying with the stock sizes on both sprockets.

I've got a stock 77 and I run a 14T in the front. It's not a huge change but it does pull away easier. I've ridden the BRP plenty of times and I never had a problem getting up and down those hills. IIRC, there was a rise of almost 1k RPM at 70 mph over the 15T, no big.
