if you're worried about out gassing throw it up in a toaster oven(everybody has to have an old toaster oven in their shop, right) at about 300F for a 1/2 hour or so.

Though I would suspect brake fluid shouldn't be conductive.

I put on a new rec/regulator and the wire from the brake bango was lightly touching/lying on the outer cooling fin/block of the combo unit....the wire is not chafed and is brand new...but the combo unit might be transmitting engery though the wire to the bango unit...its only 1 inch from the combo unit.
I just dont know what to think..... :blink:

This is not a brake fluid issue.....you can soak a chrome fitting in brake fluid for a year and it wont do this.
Im showing both sides of the chrome fitting...one has chrome left on it the other is gone.
by the way....the brake light worked fine during this.....both pedel and front lever
