And yeah, I was able to find the VIN number on the kawa website and it confirmed that I had a 1982 LTD. The website didn't say it was a KZ550 but I guess I already know that.

So I finally got started on torquing some of the nuts and bolts this weekend. Realized soon that I had torqued most of them way more than the spec asks for. So I'm really happy that I have the torque wrench now.
FYI, I was able to use my calipers to figure out the wrench size for the steering head bolt and the rear axle and both of them were 27mm (though the actual bolt diameter) is 16mm according to the manual). And the free wheel axle bolt's wrench size is 19mm (diameter is 14mm in the manual).
So Lou, I'm going to follow the '82 torque chart shown in the supplement instead of the stock chart listen on Pg. 45. Am I on the right track? Thanks in advance.

I haven't really compared the numbers from one model to the next, but I think you would be safe using the 1982 torque numbers as long as they specify the ones for the H model which you would ignore.
The torques for the critical bolts (cam caps, valve cover, clutch tension plate) should probably be the same for all models, but you may want to cross reference those three for the C model from 80 and 81.

Thanks Lou. And yes, they specify the numbers of H model separately so I'm ignoring those like you said. And yes, I will cross reference those numbers between models as you suggested.
Thanks much to you and everyone else who helped me out with this topic.
