Am perhaps misunderstanding the question, but there's no need to mess with any component of the cush drive incident to installing the rear wheel.650mod wrote: ...Does anyone have any input on shaving the rear cush drive when I go to mount my rear wheel up? Am I shaving the rubber cush down, or am I shaving the cush holder?....

Hi Patton,
I'm just considering this because of the size of my frame and trying to fit a 180mm tire on the wheel. Some other members that have done this modification on 750's and 650's have said they've shaved their cush drive down slightly to lessen the size of the countershaft offset that's needed.
