Trying to come up with an idea for making a fork-stop so my clip-ons won't hit the tank. It doesn't look like the stock stop is adjustable so just hunting for something quick and easy. Thanks.

Well, with my ZRX1200 lower triple, I am drilling and tapping the steering stop "blocks" for a small (4-40) button head screw, and then using the head thickness to reduce the side to side range. Just a thought.

I see what you're saying and that's an awesome idea.... I'm just too lazy to rip my front end off again. Everything's dialed in the way I want it right now. Ugh.

Well if you are really lazy, you could just buy a chunk of the door edge channel that they sell in black and cut a couple of short prices to slide over the sides of the stop that is welded to the steering tube....

i had clip ons. they hit the tank. so i banged in the tank.
you could tilt them out farther so they dont touch at all. depends on teh angle you have them at.
as for clip ons all together. i had back surgery last year so i couldnt hack it. i ditched them for more of an upright bar (dirtbike handle bars)

"boy its hot out.....oh..my bike is on fire"

I just set mine out to where they don't hit. I was able to gain a hair more by rotating the switch housings just so. It isn't optimum and puts a little strain on the outside of my wrists but I'm making do for now, it's only temporary until the USD front is on. Considering denting the tank for clearance at that time.

Go green, buy a Kawasaki!
