Steering stops on fork swaps was created by StreetfighterKz
Hey all,
I figured that this would get more exposure and help out more people here than in my project thread.
For those of you who aren't following my thread, I've swapped in a '95 Gsxr750 on my '76 900.
The stock Gsxr fork stops were not going to work so I machined them off and smoothed out the lower triple tree. I also removed the stock steering stop from the 900 frame as obviously it wouldn't work either.
Here's the question...
Should I add one tab to the frame and two stops to the lower clamp OR two tabs to the frame and one stop on the lower clamp.
Both options are about the same as far a labor goes but I just wanted others opinions.
Thank.
Later, Doug

They'll both be in front of the steering head tube so same visibility/invisibility.

Bolt two stops, one on either side of the stem, on the lower triple and weld a single tab on the steering tube for the frame. That way you can place the tabs exactly where you need them. Just my.02
