Stock chain and sprocket VS a 530 set up

I was all set to just order a stock chain and sprocket until TomW told me that he converted to a 530 O-ring set up and really likes it.
Questions ;
Is it a direct swap ?
What are the advantages ?
Are they as strong as the beefier stock chain ?
What brand chain do you recommend ?
What brand sprockets ?
How do they compare price wise ?
Thanks guys,
JD

lighter / cheaper
plenty strong for your KZ1000
lots of choices for chains, get a o or x ring chain.
check z1 for sprocket needs
530 chain and sprockets are cheaper

When explaining "size matters" to all the admiring babes, they will readily accept that such a powerful bike requires the larger chain, and won't be dissuaded by feeble explanations of the 530 guys (who ya most probably don't wanna race).

Thanks everyone,
JD
I should have suggested that you also order a new front sprocket lock washer while you are at it and included in the order at no extra shipping. Just in case the one that is there is not in the best of shape. Can't cost more than a couple of bucks.
Should be able to call them back and tag it onto your order if it hasn't shipped yet.

The old one was creating a odd vibration that was starting to make me real nervous , to be fair , any new chain would have been a big improvement but I think I feel a little more pep running through the gears, tested to triple digits  nice an smooth.
Also I have a slight rise in the rpm , I'm told it's something like 40 rpms at highway speed that accounts for some of that.
The only problem I had was that the new lock washers tang that is supposed to fit in a hole on the new sprocket didn't line up so I had to reuse the old washer that works differently , no big deal but if you order a set make sure that they check that before sending it out.
Thanks again guys , couldn't be happier
JD
This is the old washer that I reused
look how much the old chain had stretched
