Parts Diagrams and select Morcycle, Year and CC and keep going until you are presented with a choice of 5 or 6 models. Yours will be listed as the 1983 Ninja 750 or ZX 750.
I had a quick look and that wheel looks the same as mine

Go on Z1E and look at the parts break down
for the ZX750A1.
1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.

If you go to the kawasaki.com vehicle selection page, and select "Ninja 750R" under "Marketing Names" it will list 1983-1985, 1986-1990 Ninja 750R's. In the actual parts diagram for the 83 ZX750A1 it calls it a Ninja.
I always thought that the first Ninja was the first water cooled sportbike, but I was wrong again.

You're right, they don't say Ninja anywhere but in the Kawasaki parts pages. That's why I never call it a Ninja.
