both, the z1 frames were really flexible and under stress the newer frames up to 80 would also move. the j motor frames came braced. not the best but braced. bracing the frame is beneficial to anyone who wants more rigidity not just for wheelies or all out racing. while cracking wasnt super common it does happen around the head stock.onebadram wrote: do the kz frames have a cracking problem? or is this for the guy who wants to do wheelies?

The blue frame was from my 74 z1,yeah they have cracking/flexing issues even with a mild amount of hp.onebadram wrote: do the kz frames have a cracking problem? or is this for the guy who wants to do wheelies?
Stuff a turbocharged 1385 motor in there with a nitrous bottle on top of it and things get really ugly really fast.
The black frame is a 77 900 I was doing to replace somebody elses bent 76 900 frame for a dragbike here locally but he ran out of money it may end up being slightly mondernized replica of bob carpenters old pro stock 900
