Z1 vs Z1R Frame was created by s3steve
Is there any difference between the Z1 and Z1R frames other then the body mounts?
I'm looking at getting a Moto Werks pipe and have concerns about the rear exhaust mount being different on the Z1 compared to the Z1R.

The Z1 and the Z1R share the same pipe...aftermarket "4 into 1 anyway".
With most A/M pipes there's usually some sort of minor fabrication to make the rear exhaust mount fit properly.

Helo I bought a Moto-Werks pipe with the alum. can For my 80 Z1R. The pipe fit great exept the rear tab was about 1.5 inch to far forward. I had to make a bracket for it. hope this helps.

Chris at Moto GP Werks offers great customer service and will answer any questions with quick replies. He said on the Z1 I would need a small bracket for the rear mount. Not a big deal.
Great looking pipe plus it's stainless. I can't wait for spring!! :woohoo:
