Why aftermarket; what is it you are trying to do? Ed

Well I've been trying to find new factory mounts but it seems like none of the kawasaki dealers in near me carry any kz parts or parts for models older than 1984. my current mounts are old, shitty and wont keep my handlebars straight for more than a few rides. its just annoying when i get onto my bike and i have to hold my bars cocked to one side to make the bike go straight. I saw some mounts online that were one solid piece, I don't know if that could help the issue or not but I also don't know whether they will fit. I am making my bike into a cafe racer btw.

Here's the 1980 KZ440 diagram. The parts (#2 & #3) are still "Active" so any dealer can order them. If your dealer won't tell him to take a hike and order from ronayers.com - just go to that site and plug in the part numbers at the "Search" box. Ed

Why don't you just replace the rubber mounts with new ones? That should fix the problem.

I went through a similiar situation a couple of years ago on a XT500 based flattrack racer. I turned a couple of aluminum slugs that fit where the rubber plugs went and then welded them into place. Problem solved! B)

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

kawasaki.com shows the rubber dampers part #92075-039 ere used on 53 different models and are "active" which denotes availability through your friendly local Kawasaki dealer.

Good Fortune! :)
