This can help a little, but it doesn't solve the underlying problem - worse it can move the problem to a higher speed where it's even more of a risk.
Most times carefully checking everything on the bike eliminates the issue. The stock rear shocks are often the culprit - esp. if you can see evidence of oil on the damper rod.
The one most people overlook is wheel alignment. I NEVER rely on the factory marks. I ALWAYS set my bike vertical, and visually align the rear to the front by looking down both sides of the rear tire. You can use a long straight edge to help the center stand is out of the way - you just need someone to help hold the front wheel straight and the bike upright.
My turbo bike was a handful over 120mph - after rebuilding the front forks and making sure the oil in each leg was equal, much of that problem went away. It still becomes unstable under serious load - but that's frame flex and I really need to add even more bracing to the frame to solve that.

Both my GPz1100 and my brothers 750Turbo are rock solid to 150mph, except anything over 120mph sweepers induce a gentle weave on both bikes. We just ride through it, but scares the bejesus out of anyone following.
