KZ1100 Spectre Handlebar options was created by Randew2u
I havent ridden my KZ yet but I already dont like the stock grip position. Has anyone found a bar with a similar rise, but with the grips a bit less parallel? Has anyone heard of bending a set to be more parallel? Maybe a workmate vice and a long piece of rebar could do magic, or ruin the bars, lol.
Thanks

You could try a set of "Window" handlebars.

I have an 84 kz1100 w/ drag bars. It required a set of 3" risers to allow for the master cylinder. I then was seeing too much shoulder and elbows and went with bar end mirrors.

I once re-shaped a set of handle bars by doing the following: I sandwiched one end of the handle bars between two boards and pulled the front wheel of my truck onto the top board. That held the bars firmly in place, and I was able to apply enough pressure on the other end of the bars using my foot to spread them to the exact shape I wanted. Since it sounds like you want to spread your bars, this approach might work for you. Just take your time so you don't spread them too far. Ed

Maybe BMW Med Tall Street bars, but I don't know if they come in black.
I had a set on my 650-CSR - the stock bars were terrible - high, narrow, & too much PB.
Other sets for comparison: Daytona bars, European (Euro bars), superbike bars. Z1Enterprises probably has the dimensions for comparison. Note: the measurements can vary by mfg.
650-CSR w Flanders BMW Med Tall Street bars. I have since replaced them w Euro bars.
