Hello KZR,
I have a 1997 KZ1000 and I am having issues with the front breaks. They make a loose rattling noise when I am riding. I took off one of the Break Callipers and I found that the bolt that attaches the metal bracket to the calliper; the width of the two bolts are too small it seems. The bolts seem like they are in good condition, but when I attach the metal bracket to the calliper they allow the metal bracket to move just enough to be unsettling and make noise during the ride? Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?
Thanks Christopher Rogers

You do know that the calipers must be able to slide left-right, right?
If you are bothered by the rattle then go to a auto parts store and pick up some disk brake anti-squeal compound. Spread it around on the back of the disk brake pads and install.
