Leaning too far on the kickstand? was created by mbsween
Okay , it has been 30 years since I bought this thing. I really didn't take many pictures for the first 20 years, just wondering do all 80s 750s lean this much on the side stand?

It could be that the yoke on the side stand (where it connects to the frame)is spreading a little. Ed

Check and make sure the frame has not split right where the kickstand mount is welded on.
Saw a 750 twin that did that.

they did that so the block of wood under my seat can fit under the stand in dirt fields at the GP

Awesome use of the wood block, I use a brick (in the garage) , but it doesn't transport well.
Would someone else post a pic of their bike form a similar angle?
Thanks Again

Matt
I took mine off and clamped it in a bench vice, heated it up with a oxy/acetylene torch cherry red and bent it a bit. Worked well

I just noticed the ZRX shocks in the pic, no wonder it's leaning so far, it's got shocks that are ~14.75" long, and the stock shocks were much shorter.
You jacked up the back end, which raises the frame, and you didn't lengthen the kickstand
I put 14.75" Koni shocks on my 750 twin to replace the worn out 12.5" stock shocks.
I now use a piece of 2"x4" under the kickstand.

Good catch on the shocks, really didn't think about that. I have an extra kick stand, I'll try the heat it up and straighten it trick
Thanks Guys

'82 CSR750 twin - replaced stock with flat handlebars, vacuum delete, dropped front forks, custom fab quad exhaust, custom Fab "R" shaped headcaps, all covered in a super girlie paint job.
Ship happens, don't blame the ocean.

Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster..
But I specifically made an account to reply because I thought I was alone LOL...my 82 CSR 750 twin leans like it's drunk. Like someone else said about bending their's I took mine off and welded a wrench to it. This also gave me an opportunity to put in another spring on the bottom to support it. Although it is still too short it helped immensely. More revisions to come
