Maybe I should take up a cheaper hobby. Horse racing for example.
Experience with Forward Powersport chains? was created by markovis07
My old chain needs replacement on Gpz750, so i found some cheap chains on ebay from company Forward Powersports. Are they fine? BTW, if anyone have to sell 630x94, let me know, i'm having a hard time to find one in Serbia.

You will need new sprockets also. You can buy the 630 set up, or convert to 530. Both are available from z1enterprises.com
I would get either an O-ring or X-ring sealed chain, it will last much longer. Also buy some quality chain lube when you get the new chin and sprockets.
Not sure which year your is. You can add the info to your user profile, in Signature.
But go here and it will get you started: www.z1enterprises.com/ShopByCategory.asp...&category=0101010308

It is 1984 gpz750A2.
That is the reason i started a topic, because of the huge difference in price between DID, Regina and other well known brands (160$ for chain), versus the 70$ (Forward powersports)

You get what you pay for. My experience with cheap chains is they stretch really fast, ruin your sporckets and become useless in short order. With a quality chain I get about 30000 miles on of them and I can re-use my sprockets. You do not have to change sprockets with replacing the chain unless the sprockets are worn. I know that is what the manufactures recommend but from personel experience I have never had a problem just replacing the chain. If you do go with a cheap chain I can guarantee it will ruin your sprockets.

The words "cheap" and "ebay" should never be associated with any part that goes on a motorcycle.markovis07 wrote: My old chain needs replacement on Gpz750, so i found some cheap chains on ebay from company Forward Powersports. The only way you can convert to 530 is have a special offset front sprocket made. The stock 83-85 GPz750 sprocket is offset about 10mm from the factory. Several years ago I bought 17 and 18 tooth 530 sprockets from PBI, but I don't know if they still make them.

Again,,,
You get what you pay for.
Ever had a chain snap on you?
I have.
It wasn't pretty, piece of sh*t top dollar DID.
I liked the left side of my engine just the way it was.
Don't go cheap on chain and sprockets.

I finally desided to go with a new X ring RK chain from Z-1 along with a new 16t and a alum 42t in the rear. Did save big on the rear sprocket on ebay but it took a while.
The few story's on here of snapped chains was starting to give me nightmares.
