You can find stock carbs for about $200-250 set. You'll need an airbox too. Mine runs ALOT better without those dumb pods, stock airbox and stock jetting.
You can buy aftermarket shocks with reflectors that look OEM. They are not the greatest for riding at high speeds though. For that I swap them out with a modded set from a ZRX. But I easily swap tham back for cruising or shows, etc.
Rear wheel is not stock either and it looks like the brake plate is chrome? That's supposed to be polished.

The covers should come home today from the stripper, everyone else I took them too thought they were chrome. I thought they were nickel plated. Oh well. I hit them with a sandblaster and soda blaster and got a bit of it off, but needed a more thorough blasting from someone who specializes in not messing up the aluminum. Ill post pics today when they come back. But you guys think I should leave them aluminum and just polish them up?
I plan on getting a stock airbox and I am looking into carbs now. The tach and odometer were on there when I got it. Notice one has a chrome bezel and the other is black. I need to replace the chrome one. Any thoughts?
I have no idea about the back wheel, and will get to that today once the frame is completely stripped. My goal is to have the frame, battery box, swing arm, and triple tree all sandblasted and into the powder coat shop by Friday. Any thoughts on doing a Por 15 chassis coat instead of the powder coat for the frame?

The gauges were black originally. Contact Z-Resto for a quote on restoring/fixing your gauges. He's the best there is. zresto.com/
The little sticker on front of your frame is extremely valuable on a numbers matching eng/frame combo. My advice to you is to mask it off, then strip and PAINT the frame using VHT gloss rollbar paint. It looks like an original finish, not too shiny like the old gloss Rustoleum paint. You cannot remove that decal cleanly. I make reproduction decals but they are stark white and you can clearly see the "patina" in your original. That's the only way to tell mine from an original label.

That gets my vote every time! To me, the polished aluminum looks cleaner and more natural than plated engine covers and it blends with the rest of the engine better. Another bonus is you don't need to ever be concerned about the plating peeling off or about scratching it. The aluminum is very easy to keep up once it's polished and unlike plating, any little marks can easily be polished out. Ed

Carbs at hand are probably Mikuni constant velocity BS34, that were installed as a replacement for the stock Mikuni 28mm manual slide carbs.mardimus wrote: I tried searching which carbs I have and no luck. They do not match any of the carbs listed on the Z1 carb guide. Any other thoughts. I ran a few searches but no luck. I found a real clean set on Ebay to purchase, they are . . .
