1983 KZ750-F1 LTD - 8000 miles - 2/2015 - Head gasket time!
Replied by 83KZ750LTD on topic Replacement shock options
Well I finally bought new shocks. I went with shocks from Hagon. I worked with Christina from Hagon in California and her service was exceptional. Hagon did not have the 750f1 application listed so Christina took the weight specs from the bike, the expected rider(s) weight, and riding style and made her recommendation.
I ended up with the 330mm shock with standard chrome springs (20kg). The bushings on the top and bottom had to be modified to 14 x 20 MM to fit my 750 shaft application. Upon receipt of the shocks yesterday, I noticed that the bushings do not have sleeves like the Showas that I took off. I'm hoping that isn't going to be an issue.
I'm installing them tonight after work.
