No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHi all,
Are '83 Kawasaki KZ750E front and rear brake pads same? Because I removed old ones and front/rear brake pads has same form except one pad was thicker. Now I'm after these It is written "front" but the rear ones are in same form.

Is it for certain that the bike at hand is a 1983 KZ750E?

I thought 1982 was the last year Kawasaki made a KZ750-E model. It was the KZ750-E3. On the E3 the rear pads are different than the front even though they may look the same at first glance. Sometimes a different pad thickness (it can be the metal back plate, not just the pad material) is the only difference, but it is different because the pads match the rotor, and the front rotors are a different thickness than the rear rotor. My guess is that the bike isn't a North American model.
I don't think the E in the chassis number necessarily indicates that it is a 750E.

the front and rear brake pads on my 1980 750E1 are different.
According to Z1 Enterprises the front and rear brake pads are different part numbers and fit all the following KZ750E1-E3/H1-H4/R1/N1/N2/F1/L3
I dont know what the difference is. Could be thickness. I just buy the correct part number and install. No point messing with brakes
