Install the dust boot over the piston, positioning it at the very bottom of the piston (opposite side of the groove in the piston), then install the boot into the caliper groove before pushing the piston down into the bore. Some brake fluid on the piston will help it slide easier during install.

thanks for the advice, it worked like a charm. had them together in less than 5 minutes each
