Take a measurement for me. was created by OCSteve
Can anyone tell me the diameter of the fork cap for a KZ1000? I would like to know the diameter of the threaded part of the cap. Thanks!

Taken from a set 1977 KZ1000A1 or 1978 KZ1000A2 fork tubes ...outside diameter of threaded portion of cap = 28mm.

Thanks, McDroid! Does that mean the threads on the cap are called "M28" threads?

OK, I just went online and researched thread pitch. I found a chart of all the metric thread pitches, and it looks like 1.0 pitch is about 25 threads per inch, right?
