Take a look at the Kawasaki.com 1976 KZ900 B1 (LTD) diagram below. The part numbers for the spring, cup, and piston of the rear master cylinder match the numbers in the kit offered by Z1E at
www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDetails.aspx?i...00&item=KZ1000MCKIT1
Also, Kawasaki.com shows the spring, cup, and piston as still being "Active" parts, so you should be able to buy them separately. Ask Z1E for individual prices on those 3 parts.

That's strange, ED, I just ordered almost 500.00 worth of stuff from Z1 E. last month & asked about parts to rebuild it, & they said they couldn't help & didn't know where I could get. I haven't called Red line cycle yet, but they were able to get me parts for my rear master for my 80 LTD 1000, as it was the only year with that style of rear master

Z1Enterprises may not be aware that the parts are the same as the KZ900 (assuming that they are). It would be very difficult & time consuming for them to cross-reference every oem part. If the kit does indeed work for your bike, you should let them know so that they can update their fitment info & so the next guy w a 900 won't have to re-invent the wheel. hee.
The Z1R Fr Br mc kit is a similar example. See the note just below the part description.

Ed, the only 2 parts in that rebuild kit that match, are 43018-002 & 43019-002, the rest of the part #s don't match with what I need, ....I can get them separately from Partzila , but it would cost me close to 100.00 ....guess I'll wait to take it apart & see if all it needs is a good cleaning, I'll bet the fluid has NEVER been changed

Your right Martin, but I'm not going to dish out that much money, till I take it apart & see what can be salvaged

I agree on checking first to see if you really need the parts. Why spend money on parts if yours are still fine.
I had looked at Partzilla.com and saw the cup and piston listed as 43019-002 CUP, PRIMARY $8.48 and 43072-004 PISTON ASSY $47.22. Ronayers.com might have them a little cheaper, but one of their IT idiots screwed up the search engine on their website so it no longer finds half the parts you search for and doesn't find either of those two, so you would need to telephone or mail them for a price. How dumb is that!
www.partzilla.com/search/?q=43019-002&x=8&y=9
www.partzilla.com/search/?q=43072-004&x=9&y=10
The 3rd item in the Z1E kit that matched was the return spring 43018-002 (you may not need). Partzilla lists it at $12.64
www.partzilla.com/search/?q=43018-002&x=0&y=0
Hopefully you'll find the master cylinder just need to be cleaned and flushed with fresh brake fluid and doesn't need any parts at all. Ed
