i have a 1981 kawasaki kz400-J2
this is a four sylinder bike, ant is not very many in norway.
i cant seem to finde anyone that can sell me new/functional speedometer gear drive. it's not the gear itself im after, but the metal ring between the wheel and the gear.

By any chance have you tried a Kawasaki dealer?
I don't know if yours is the same as the one on my 81 KZ650-CSR, but it appears to be the same.
The csr speedometer receiver (#41064-1006) was used on a bunch of models from 1980-on up to at least 2005 (e.g., Ninja 500) & it is listed as an Active part at Kawasaki.com.
