Looking for a 110/90-18 front tire and a 120/90-18 rear tire for a 550 lb flat tracker I'm making
I want a flat track tire that has better than a 40M load/speed rating also.

Try PMing Slayer61. He is a veteran flat track racer and may be able to assist.

Proper flattrack tires are 19" front and rear. You ll have a time finding 18" DOT tracker tires. Look into Dunlop K70 and K180 maybe? Good luck. Paul

Thanks Paul.
I found a set of K70 4.00-18 tires at J and P Cycles. I asked the salesman if I could use this same tire on my front 110/90-18 and rear 120/90-18 rims. He said it wouldn't be a problem, but I'd need to reverse the direction of the front tire.
I questioned him to make sure I understood him correctly. He said I know it sounds odd, but that's the way to do it correctly.
Anyone ever heard this before?

Correct.
When mounting on the rear rim a "front" tire with a directional arrow for forward moving rotation, the rotation should indeed be reversed. In which case the arrow will point in the "wrong" direction,
Am not positive, but thinking this has to do with braking force on the front tire and driving force on the rear tire.
Good Fortune!

That' is true.
However, Dunlop K70 tires are the absolute worst tires I ever rode on in my life. Crappy traction. Ed
